Totally agree with eches and enaku. I have a lot of links from other sites including my own blogs. Saya juga guna teknik link pada friendster & myspace yg eches sebutkan tu. Yang paling penting ialah, beberapa website lain pun meng'link' balik website saya. Yang penting: diorang link balik. Tak payah tulis banyak perkataan 'melayu boleh' sebenarnya, sbb kalau repeat word tu again2, search engine boleh reject (dulu boleh, sekrg to prevent cheating, most search engine tak suka kalau tulis word tu byk kali). Playing with position of 'melayu boleh' dlm metatag (mcm eches buat tu) is something new for me. I have to try it out. I put 'Melayu boleh' last in the metatag actually. Saya tulis hanya 3 post mengenai melayu boleh, dan macam eches buat, each newer posts I linked with the older ones. Itu je kot. kalau nak lagi, saya ada tulis post mengenai tips ni dlm blog. kalau nak lagi jugak, boleh email or leave comments dlm blog. saya akan jawab semampu yg boleh, insyaallah.

ok.. nie ada satu pertanyaan, aku paham backlink mmg penting untuk ranking tinggi di search engine. tp, bila site lain nak link back, adakah memadai link ke domain kita terus atau page.. contoh, link ke www.domainname.com atau www.domainname.com/melayuboleh.html ...

err...korang paham ke tak soalan aku nih?

kalau tgh optimisekan untuk keyword tertentu (i.e. melayu boleh) + utk page yang tertentu (i.e www.domainname.com/melayuboleh.html) dptkan backlink terus ke page tuh..kalau backlink ke main website pn rasanya effect lebih kurang sama je..

kalau efek lebih kurang sama, maknenye takyah la susah2 nak buat backlink.. ye la.. website kita kan banyak pages.. kalau mcm nie baik kita tumpukan carik backlink ke domain je kan?

That's your choice. In my case I wanted people to link back to one particular post on my blog titled "Melayu Boleh". It's difficult but a lot of people did link back to me. I do that because I have hundreds of posts on my blog and I want people to go straight to that post when they search on either Google or Yahoo and not to my main blog. However, I have utilised the SEO techniques for the search terms "ah ok lah" and my blog is #1 on the results page.

One important tip is not to be selfish. If people link to you, put up a link back to them too. You don't have to wait. You can initiate and people usually reciprocate.

p/s: sorry have to write in BI. My BM is horrible and I don't have my wife here to write for me like before .

I actually started quite late (on the 12/1). I just wrote one post with the heading 'melayu boleh'. First of all I linked the post from my other blogs (freebies, autolah, etc) and then put up a notice on friendster and myspace asking my friends to link to that post and also to spread the word around. My post when up to #4 on 14/1 and then suddenly disappeared on the 15/1. It reappeared on the front page few days after that (cant remember the date).

Along the way, I have wrote few other posts referring and linking to that post. It was a rollercoaster ride on google going up and down. In Yahoo, it was quite slow but rose steadily as more and more people linked back to me.

The post was also tagged on technorati, digg and del.ico.us

I think another factor is probably that my blog is in English which has a wider audience as compared to blogs in BM.

sesuatu yang aku nak buat tapi tak buat-buat sampai ke sudah.. hahah.. ok, pasni kena ambil berat pasal bende ni.. dan juga pasal link dari friendster and friends, hmm.. banyak ilmu baru dapat.. hmm.. dan jugak kedudukan keyword dalam meta description, sekbaik meta aku pendek jer...

best..best... bagus2 info yang aku dapat kat sini.. aku nie jenis tak sabar bila buat SEO nih..kalo hari nie aku aku lakukan perubahan,kalau bleh hari nie gak aku nak tgk kesannya...tapi hakikatnya SEO nih mengambil masa beberapa hari gak untuk mendatangkan hasil. info-info yang diberikan oleh pemenang2 cabaran #1 nie membolehkan aku tau mana-mana teknik yang boleh menaikkan ranking kat search engine. bila aku check backlink untuk website adam nih...fuh..mmg banyak backlinks dia..guna blogspot je tuh.. to adam, congrats once again from me..u really did a god job with your blog. aku nie masih dalam proses pembelajaran lagi nih..banyak ilmu-ilmu aku yang berterabur dalam kepala hotak aku nih.. samapi x leh nak susun...huhuhuhu
